'Estudos Avançados' #91 addresses the 100 years of the Russian Revolution, urbanism and psychoanalysis

The centennial of the Russian Revolution is the subject of one of the three dossiers that make up issue 91 of IEA's journal 'Estudos Avançados,' launched at the end of 2017. Under the coordination of Bruno Barreto Gomide, professor of Russian literature at USP's Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences (FFLCH), the collection has articles that discuss the cultural, political and social history of the revolution, written by researchers from the United Kingdom, Brazil and Argentina. In addition to it, two other dossiers complement the issue: one on urbanism, coordinated by designer Ricardo Ohtake, and another on psychoanalysis. Last year, the Institute's journal had the most hits among similar publications in the SciELO platform.

'Interculturalities,' a dossier of the last issue of USP's Journal, has been organized by Sylvia Dantas, a reseacher of the IEA

Issue 114 of USP's Journal has launched a dossier that seeks to reflect on the tragedy of Syrian and African refugees, and the challenge of combating xenophobia, racism and intolerance. Entitled 'Interculturalities,' it has been organized by Professor Sylvia Dantas, coordinator of IEA's Intercultural Dialogues Research Group, and is composed of articles by members and guests who gave lectures at the group's events. They are researchers from diverse areas who observe and question human displacements in the globalized world. Of these, almost 20 million are refugees,' explains Dantas.

INSTITUTIONAL

The IEA has new headquarters within USP's campus
