IEA-USP chooses 16 candidates for Intercontinental Academia's final selection
On a meeting held this August 27, IEA-USP's Scientific Committee for the Intercontinental Academy chose 16 of the 44 enrolled candidates in the Brazilian pre-selection.
Those who have been selected will receive an endorsement letter this Thursday and have until the August 31 to send their complementary documentation through the online application form. The final selection will take place in September at the headquarters of the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies during the meeting of the Senior Committee which coordinates the project.
The selected names are: Adriano de Cezaro, André Mascioli Cravo, Ayu Majima, Eduardo Almeida, Gonzalo Iparraguirre, Helder Nakaya, Ignacio Amigo de la Huerga, Julia Buenaventura, Luca Simeone, Maísa Fonseca, Marius N. Müller, Nikki Moore, Nikolaos Stamatakis, Samuel Sojinu, Sergio Giardino and Valtteri Arstila.
Of the 16 candidates, ten are foreign, four are women, nine are related to USP (due to their education or current job), eight have the humanities as their field of study, five the biological sciences and three the exact sciences.
