Michiko Okano
Michiko Okano Ishiki holds a bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo, a master's degree in Communication and Semiotics, and a doctorate in Communication and Semiotics, both from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. She is currently an associate professor in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the Arts Department of the School of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences of the Federal University of São Paulo and a collaborating professor in the graduate program of Japanese Language, Literature and Culture of the School of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo. She is coordinator of the Art Asia Study Group (geaa.art.br). She has experience in the field of Arts, with emphasis on Japanese Art, working mainly on the following themes: Japanese art, Japanese-Brazilian art, and Japanese culture. |
