Scott McQuire
Scott McQuire é professor associado da Universidade de Melbourne. Sua pesquisa explora os efeitos sociais das tecnologias midiáticas, com especial atenção a seu impacto sobre as relações sociais no espaço e no tempo, e a formação da identidade e da dinâmica das cidades. Atualmente, é pesquisador responsável por dois projetos de pesquisa: Large Screens and the Transnational Public Sphere (2009-13), que explora o potencial de ligação de grandes telas de vídeo em espaços públicos em Melbourne e Seul para eventos ao vivo usando obras de arte interativas especialmente encomendadas, e Participatory Public Space: A Right to the Networked City (2012-14), que estuda a interação entre tecnologia, política, cultura e inovação no contexto do espaço público em rede. |
