IEA-USP chooses three candidates for the 3rd Intercontinental Academia's final selection
The IEA-USP's Scientific Committee for the third edition of the Intercontinental Academia chose three candidates in the Brazilian pre-selection, after having received applications until August 6.
The pre-selected names are: Carla Aparecida Arena Ventura, Heloisa de Camargo Tozato and Gilberto Marcos Antonio Rodrigues. The candidates that get approved in the final selection will be sponsored by the IEA-USP by having their travel expenses fully or partially covered by the Institute (depending on agreements with the host institutes).
Those who have been selected will receive an endorsement letter this Monday (14) and have until August 15 to send their complementary documentation to the organisers of the final selection. The institutes for advanced studies of the University of Birmingham (UK) and of the Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) will be the hosts of the third edition of the interinstitutional and interdisciplinary project, which will address the theme 'Laws: Rigidity and Dynamics' in 2018 and 2019.
The IEA-USP takes this opportunity to thank all who have applied for the selection process as they have challenged the committee to a final decision due to the high quality of the received profiles.
