Visiting Professor Donald Peterson studies the relationship between humans and machines in the age of cognitive technology (connectivity, artificial intelligence, and robots). The challenge is to make it bring more benefits than harm to areas such as education, work, business, and health. According to Peterson, all technologies are a "double-edged sword," able to produce good and bad effects, or even both concomitantly, depending on the way they are used.
